UMPIRES NEEDED FOR THE 2024 GLENDALE LITTLE LEAGUE SEASON - ALL DIVISIONS!!
Glendale Little League is looking for children interested in umpiring games for the upcoming 2024 season. We are looking for umps to cover all Rookies, Majors, Minors and Juniors games. All are welcome and no previous experience is needed!
Glendale Little League attempts to have only kids that are 2 years out of a division serve as umpires for that division. This means that generally:
- 2nd year Minors and 1st year Majors serve as umpires for Rookies games;
- 2nd year Majors and 1st year Juniors serve as umpires for Minors games;
- 2nd year Juniors or those who are older (i.e., 15+ years old) serve as umpires for Majors games;
- Those 16+ years old serve as umpires for Juniors games.
There are exceptions to the above rules based on experience and demand for umpires at each division.
HOW TO REGISTER AS AN UMPIRE
New this year, umpire registration will be exclusively done through the Glendale Little League website. To register your child as an umpire, login on the Glendale Little League website:
- If you already have an account, choose “Login” found at the top, right side of the page.
- If you are new to the process, select “Register” and create an account.
The child serving as an umpire must be added as a "participant" to register. Once that is done, the registration website will automatically show the highest division for which your child is eligible to umpire as an “Available Program.”
Registration deadline for umpires is March 31, 2024.
Note that umpiring is a job and is not a volunteer position. All umpire scheduling assignments will be coordinated based on your child’s specific availability and will be communicated in advance of any scheduled games.
UMPIRE TRAINING CLINIC
Whether your child is a seasoned pro, or just getting started, we will offer umpire training for those umpiring Rookies, Minors, and Majors divisions.

Registration for the umpire training clinic will also occur through the Glendale Little League website and will show as another “Available Program.”
