What is the Game Changer App?

Game Changer is a free app, available on all mobile devices, used by Glendale Little League and the Glendale Knights for the purpose of managing the administrative elements of the baseball team and season.  The app integrates with the GLL and Knights website making it easier for parents and coaches to communicate with each other.  With this announcement, we will begin using this software to simplify management of all team rosters and schedules. 

As parents, we think you will enjoy the following features of the Game Changer software:

• On Demand access to our practice and game schedules via your mobile device (including times, dates, and locations).
• Instant notifications if/when the schedule changes or is updated.
• RSVP functionality lets you inform the coaches if a player is going to attend/miss a game or practice.
• No more guessing where the games or practices are - the app will tell you where the game is and even provide you driving instructions.
• Centralized communications and chat functionality - no more digging through emails and spreadsheets trying to find the latest information.
  
• Live Video streaming (great for family that can’t attend in person)
• Live animated GameStreams with play-by-play radio, box scores, and alerts!
• Photo Sharing and others!

Game Changer also makes life easier for Coaches.  In addition to the features above, coaches also get tools for:

• Schedule management
• Roster and team management
• Scorekeeping and pitch count

What happens next:

• For Coaches and Parent Volunteers,
  • We need parent volunteers to signup and run the pitching machine, operate the scoreboard, and help with the backstop.  Other roles include perform Game Score keeping and/manage the Team schedule.
  • All coaches and volunteers must be registered as volunteers on the GLL or Knights website.  Likewise, if you want to grant access to someone else on the team to manage the schedule or score games, they must be registered on the website.
• You will need to install the free App on your mobile device and sign up to be able to connect to the team (not available on PC - only mobile)
  • Caution: There are two Game Changer apps available please make sure you get the "Game Changer New" app.
  • Note: There is both a free and paid version of the app.  Do NOT buy the paid version.  We are evaluating the paid version of the app and we will get a discount on pricing if we choose to purchase it later as a Team / Organization.
• Get connected to your Team and start familiarizing yourself with the app and features.
• Finally, please update your RSVP status in the schedule!
